This era also brought us some of the most bizarre celebrity couples, which now, 20 years later, seem like a surreal mix of TMZ and Perez Hilton headlines.
The difficulty in remembering these couples is surprising, considering that celebrity magazines, culture, and paparazzi reached their peak during the 2000s. Unlike today, where social media allows fans to hear directly from celebrities, back then, we had to rely on supermarket tabloids and E! Network for our celebrity gossip.
You might have forgotten that these celebrities were ever couples, but I'm here to remind you that indeed, they were. It leads us to wonder what might have been for these couples if fate hadn't stepped in.
