Kristen Bell says that she and her husband let their children drink non-alcoholic beer. It’s not illegal, but is it setting a bad precedent for this kids by letting them drink “beer”? Do you think Kristen Bell is doing the right thing for her kids by allowing them to drink non-alcoholic beer? Is it anyone’s business?

“Ask Ayla Brown” And Non Alcoholic Beers

Ayla Brown: Hey, guys. Good morning. I want you to do me a favor. I want you to imagine this. Okay. You’re at a restaurant. You have your spouse. You have two young children. One child, let’s just say, is ten years old. The other one is eight years old. When the waitress comes over, she asks the table. “Hi, everyone. Welcome. What can I get you to drink?”

You say, “I’ll have an iced tea.” Your spouse says, “You know what? I’ll have the same.”

The waitress then looks at your two young children and with adorable little blue eyes, your children look up at the waitress and say, “What do you have for non-alcoholic beers?”

Kristen Bell And Dax Shepard Give Their Kids Non-Alcoholic Beers

What’s your gut reaction when you hear that question? The reason I ask is because Kristen Bell is an actress. She voiced “Ana” in the Frozen movies. She’s been in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. She’s also married to Dax Shepard, who is also an actor. His recovery is an important part of the story.

Dax was in a motorcycle accident years ago and got addicted to pain pills. Then he got sober. He was in recovery for six years before he relapsed again. It’s been all over the news. He is sober now, though, so there’s some context.

Now, I’m not one to judge, but I do have opinions on this. And I want to know where you stand because Kristen and Dax allow their children to drink nonalcoholic beer. Kristen was on the Kelly Clarkson show where they talked about it here:

  • Kristen Bell Talks To Kelly Clarkson About Serving Her Children Non-Alcoholic Beer

Kristen Bell: My kids have ordered nonalcoholic beers at restaurants, which sounds insane. If you don’t know. Context is important. We’ve learned that over the last few years.

    Kelly Clarkson: Yeah.

Kristen Bell: So, like my husband and I, when we walked the babies at night in our neighborhood, when my daughter was really little, he was a recovering addict, but he likes nonalcoholic beer. So when walking he’d have her on his chest and we’d walk and look at the sunset. So as a baby, she was like, pawing at it and sometimes she would like, suck on the rim of it. So I think it feels to her like something special, something daddy, something family.

Kelly Clarkson: And there’s no alcohol in it.

Kristen Bell: There’s no alcohol in it. So we’ve been at restaurants where she said, Do you have anything? Do you have any nonalcoholic beer? And I’m like, Maybe, maybe, maybe we don’t. We just keep that at home.

Kelly Clarkson: It’s a funny thing when in your own family you’re like, this is normal. But then you go outside and you’re like, so that maybe doesn’t track is healthy, right? But then I’m also sort of like, you can judge me if you want. I’m not doing anything wrong. You’re wrong.
