Don’t shoot the messenger! It’s almost pumpkin spice season. For some, they wait all year for pumpkin spice season. Others, see pumpkin spice as the sign that the summer is almost over so they HATE it. Regardless if you love pumpkin spice or not, you can’t avoid that it’s just about that time of year. There are several stores, brands, coffee shops that thrive off of their pumpkin spice flavors. We will take a look at which ones are coming back and when.

What exactly is pumpkin spice? Well it depends on who you ask. A general consensus is that pumpkin spice blend combines warm, earthy spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, allspice, and cardamom. Believe it or not, pumpkin spice does NOT contain actual pumpkin. You can use it in things like coffee, pies, ice cream, beer etc. And there is a science behind why we as humans love pumpkin spice as much as we do. Not to get into too much detail but it has something to do with our taste buds and our minds hallucinating into thinking it’s fall. Either way, there is a large group of people who count down the days until all of their favorite pumpkin spice products are back on the market. This article is for those people.

So get ready pumpkin spice freaks! As of the writing of this article, it is August 9th. Some brands like Dogfish Head have already brought back its pumpkin spice. However some, like Dunkin’, have near futur dates when it’ll be back. We will take a look at many of your favorites including Starbucks. That way, you can mark your calendars and set your alarms.
