Former Red Sox Gabe Kapler Makes History As A Manager, Hiring A Female Coach
He made history in 2004, when he was one of the nine players who were on the field when the Red Sox won their first World series title in 86 years. And now, Gabe “the babe” Kapler has made history again.
Earlier today, it was announced that new named San Francisco Giant’s manager Kapler, has hired Alyssa Nakken for the team’s coaching staff. Alyssa now becomes the first woman in history to coach for a major-league team.
To be honest, Gabe was one of my favorite players for the beloved “04 Idiots” team, but now… I like him even more!
Thank you for recognizing that women belong in professional sports.
