The Kowloon Is Bringing Back The Carhop This Week!
Happy days are here again… literally!
If you’ve ever seen the popular tv show that ran from 1974-84, Happy Days, then you’ve seen a car-hop in action. It’s about to become a reality in Saugus, minus the roller skates.
The iconic Kowloon restaurant in Saugus will be proudly serving you at your car window, starting tomorrow! Here it comes… carhop service. The restaurant came up with the idea, early on in the pandemic, in order to serve customers safely. They have been waiting for town approval, and they got it!
Grand Opening of the Kowloon Car Hop next Thursday, June 25th! All parking spots are reserved for invited guests. The patio is first come first serve. We are not taking any reservations for our Grand Opening. #KowloonCarHop #KowloonRestaurant #GrandOpening pic.twitter.com/27qbT7R5T4

The famous Asian restaurant on Route 1 will have wait staff serving food to you, while you are seated in your vehicle. Next week they will hold a grand opening for their first drive-in movie. The classic 1982 Spielberg film, E.T., will be the first movie shown in the Kowloon parking lot.
The 70 year old landmark spot is owned by the Wong family.
