A Map Of Popular Holiday Treats By State
The holidays bring us some many yummy gifts. This year, of course, we will enjoy them even more! We may not be able to be with many of our loved ones, but we can love on our just desserts! Remember, calories don’t count in 2020.
Can you guess what the most popular holiday dessert in Massachusetts is? New Hampshire? Rhode Island?
Take a look at this map, provided courtesy of the career website. Zippia.
Zippia used Google Trends to determine what’s the favorite Christmas treat in every state.
So Rhode Island and Massachusetts both enjoy a traditional English treat, trifle, while New Hampshire is all about the gingerbread man! Cheesecake comes out a big winner across many of the states, including Connecticut.
Zippia explained their method to the map, ““Using Google Trends, we determined what Christmas treat each state eats a disproportionate amount of. We examined over 40 Christmas classics- including candy stocking stuffers, peppermint yumminess, and all the cakes. From there, we determined what treat is searched a disproportionately, high amount.”
We may be divided in the United States as to what our favorite holiday treats are, but we are united in one thing. We love our food, especially during the holidays!
If you google trifle, you will find many variations and recipes
