Tom Brady has been in the news a lot, lately. Most of it non-football related, unless you count throwing an ipad at a game. But, this Tom Brady news is actually good, and entertaining, and without controversy. Like many New England fans, I still feel like a jilted gf, left wondering what happened to the relationship after the GOAT’s departure from the Patriots. We move on.
As you may have heard, the former New England Patriot, now Tampa Bay Buccaneer quarterback has joined the movie business. Somehow he fit this in, perhaps in spare time from all his other ventures, endorsements and investments. Tom Brady has produced his first feature film, set to release February 3.
80 For Brady stars some Hollywood legends, and legends on the field. Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Sally Field and Lily Tomlin play four 80ish year 7old best friends and Patriots superfans who dream of going to see their beloved Tom Brady and the Pats in Super Bowl LI vs Atlanta in 2017.
According to Variety , Brady and his former Patriots teammates, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola also make appearances in the film. The trailer just got released, and hey, I didn’t want to like it…but, Tom Brady’s movie looks funny! The outstanding cast, interesting story line and legendary Super Bowl game have to make for a winning combination.
Four best friends. One wild trip. Watch the new trailer for #80ForBrady starring @LilyTomlin, @Janefonda, @theritamoreno, @sally_field, and @tombrady – in theatres February 3. pic.twitter.com/BP2XlAPzJ4— 80forBrady (@80forBrady) November 17, 2022
As funny as this trailer is, Julian Edelman’s tweet following the release was the punch line we were all waiting for. #11 knows how to pack a punch. I can’t wait for this one. And seeing “the band” back together again, back in Patriots uniforms, feels so right.
#80forBrady will also be the title of the doc made about Tom’s retirement https://t.co/6ta3SLU6Xs— Julian Edelman (@Edelman11) November 17, 2022
