New England Has One Of The Top 5 Lakes In The U.S.

It’s lake season! We have so many beautiful lakes in New England. But only one was named tops by USA Today readers. This lake runs 107 miles. You will find it along the New York-Vermont border. Congratulations to Lake Champlain in Vermont. You knew some lake in New England had to make the list. New England has one of the top 5 lakes in the U.S.

Readers of the publication voted Lake Cumberland in Kentucky as their #1. Lake Champlain shows up for both Vermont and New York. The list was part of USA Today’s 2023 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, According to Wikipedia, Lake Champlain is a natural freshwater lake. “It mostly lies between the US states of New York and Vermont, but also extends north into the Canadian province of Quebec.”

So, when planning your next summer vacation and you are looking to “lake it,” check out Lake Champlain. It’s about a 4 1/2 hour ride from Boston to one to experience mother nature at her finest at Lake Champlain. It’s nice to know New England has one of the top 5 lakes in the U.S.
