We have ranked #1 in the past. But, hey #2 is still a strong showing in the caring department. I care enough to let you know the personal finance website, WalletHub collected the data to distinguish the most compassionate cities in the U.S. They compared the 100 biggest cities, using 38 “key metrics.” The information collected ranges from volunteering hours to income donated, and share of sheltered homeless people. Boston is the #2 most caring city.

Boston Cares
Boston’s high ranking is due mostly to our donations online. We donate more online per capita than any other city, as stated in the findings from WalletHub. Of course, we are also known for environmental involvement. As the article mentioned that our caring for environment “dates back to at least 1634 when the city established America’s oldest public park. That environmentally conscious behavior continues into the modern age, as Boston ranks as the most energy-efficient city in the country.” Well done, Boston. Well done!
Madison, WI earned top honors because of their interest in charitable giving. Residents there searched Google for ‘charitable donations’ more than any other city in the U.S. And according to WalletHub analyst Cassandra Happe, “People in Madison don’t just give of their money – they also are willing to dedicate their time to careers that help others. ”
Congratulations @CityofMadison, @CityOfBoston, @CityofVaBeach, @nycgov & @CityofSanDiego for being the most #caring cities:https://t.co/01anuRmzri pic.twitter.com/eM1kk9fhPS
