Is ERNEST running for Mayor of Nashville or does he have an album announcement up his sleeve? Let's put our thinking caps on and break it down.

First of all, I am a big fan of ERNEST and so are all the people in my household. My 19-month-old son, Barrett, is actually obsessed with ERNEST's album called "ERNEST & The Fellas Unplugged." Anytime Barrett is fussy or crying, my husband and I always put on that specific album and he calms right down. We laugh about it, because of all of the musicians in the world, ERNEST is the guy that gets the job done. Barrett specifically loves a song of his called, "What Have I Got To Lose (Circle Sessions)"

But ERNEST seems like he has another job that he's running for, and that's "Mayor." On March 8, 2024 ERNEST shared a video on his Instagram. The text below the video read, "Zipping a couple of things up before a big announcement next week #NashvilleTennessee." He is on the phone with a suit jacket on, a red, tie and blue boxers. The room is set up like a political press conference room.

Then on March 11, 2024, ERNEST shared a promotional photo that boldly reads, "ERNEST for MAYOR." Then on the poster it says, "Legalize Country Music." There's a link at the bottom of the photo that simply says ERNESTforMayor.com. When you click on the link it brings you to a fan page, a count down, and a button that you can click to "join the campaign."

What Does It Mean, "ERNEST for Mayor?"

There are two theories to this fun announcement. ERNEST is actually running for Mayor of the town he grew up in, which is actually Nashville, TN. Or the second option, which is more believable, is that this is a roll-out to another album. Either way, I am excited to see what ERNEST has up his sleeve. No matter what, I know my toddler will be the first to clap his hands together in the back seat of our car.
