ONE New England State Fair Ranks As One Of The Best In The Country
There is no shortage of fun fairs and festivals around here in the summer and fall. Recently one New England State fair ranked as one of the best in the country! The concerts, carnival rides, animal exhibits, food, agriculture and fun all helped to give The Big E in Springfield that status it deserves. This New England fair ranks as best in our country.
Wide Open Country, ranked the nation’s top fairs and named the Minnesota State Fair as #1. The Big E came in at #14 out of 20. The site did recognize the popular Springfield fair the largest fair in New England. And they specifically mentioned the food, saying they have “just about every kind of food you can imagine,” according to MassLive.
Since 1917 The Eastern States Exposition (better known as The Big E) has been bringing New Englanders together for entertainment and education. It’s “America’s Premier Exposition” and the world’s only multi-state fair, as it represents all 6 New England states. As you probably know, the Big E also attracts big names in entertainment. Today, more than one million people will pour through the gates at the annual 17 day event.
This year you can see national acts ranging from John Fogerty, to Zedd, Chris Young, Third Eye Blind and many more! The Sam Adams Beer Garden and the Big E Bakery are back. And hey, you don’t want to miss the Circus Spectacular, The Big Parade, and all the fabulous food. Of course there are rides, competitions, agricultural and horticultural displays and events. It’s all just a part of what makes The Big E one of the best in the U.S. This one New England state fair ranks as one of the best in the country.
