Travelers bring some really interesting things through the Boston Logan TSA checkpoint. Sure, we all know that we can’t bring liquid over 3.4oz through the checkpoint. And we’ve all seen the spring breaker have the fuzzy handcuffs taken out of their bag. Despite all the warning signs and announcements, some travelers have brought insane things to Boston Logan airport!

Patriots Player Arrested For Loaded Guns At Security Checkpoint

New England Patriots player, Jack Jones, was arrested for carrying two firearms into Boston Logan Airport. This happened on June 16, 2023 at Terminal B at 5:30pm.

Jones was traveling from Boston to Arizona when TSA found two loaded firearms. He was booked at the State Police Logan Airport Barracks, with bail set at $50,000. He’s facing multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a large-capacity feeding device and possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card. Jones is scheduled to be arraigned in East Boston District Court next week.

The Patriots released a brief statement saying, “We have been notified that Jack Jones was arrested at Logan Airport earlier today. We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time.”

Next time you head to the airport for a vacation, make sure to grab your swim trunks, sunscreen, and leave the road flares at home. I “dug” through the New England TSA’s Twitter to find these 18 crazy items confiscated at Boston Logan Airport!

Here Are The Craziest Items Found By Boston Logan TSA

  • 1. Torch, Flare, and Knives

“Okay kids, get some Dunkin’ and then look for the flare.. that’s where your mother and I will be!”

  • 2. A Gun!

The TSA confiscated a record number of guns during 2022. This is #31 of the year!

  • 3. Knives Out: The Boston-Logan Edition

Nobody likes using the plastic knives to cut their midflight dinner, but don’t you think this is overkill?

  • 4. Grandpa's Shocking Secret

    This is shocking!

  • 5. Hatchets?

No, that was not a chainsaw you heard on the plane, it was the guy next to you snoring. You don’t need your hatchet to assist.

  • 6. Pepper Spray

This is such an easy item to forget you have on your keychain, so the easy solution is to have your boyfriend/husband drive so you can leave your keys at home!

  • 7. Bottle Opener Grenades

Imagine the guy next to you at the airport bar opening a beer with these. I bet that wouldn’t go off with a bang.

  • 8. More Grenades!

Replica or not, you can’t bring this on the plane!

  • 9. Throwing Stars

How many throwing stars does a guy really need?

  • 10. Single Shot Firearm

How many people are going to try to bring a gun through security? Any number feels to high…

  • 11. Gun Shaped Lighter

Gun shaped lighters are allowed in your checked luggage, but not in your carry on. Check it, before you wreck it.

  • 12. A Shotgun

“Honey, did you pack the kids, snacks, and the 12 gauge? We’re going to be late for our flight!”

While it is legal to transport a firearm as part of your checked luggage, it has to be done correctly!

  • 13. Training Firearm

Sticking with the firearms theme, we have entered a new one into the mix: a training firearm. Again, while not illegal to travel with, you have to check it.

  • 14. A Switchblade

Okay folks, lets switch it up and leave the knives at home!

  • 15. A Batman Blade

Looking at this photo I am so confused about the packing process other people go through.

  • 16. Knife Cane

This is the type of thing I imagine the world traveling grandfathers have to scare their grandkids at family dinners, but not the type of thing you bring to the airport.

  • 17. Butcher Knives

The saying goes “Don’t put baby in the corner,” but if this is the corner, I think baby has a pretty good chance.

  • 18. Belt Knife

If you believe in dressing for the job you want and not the job you have, than this guy was trying to become 007. However, I don’t think James Bond would have gotten caught.
