MBTA Orange Line Train Out of Service: Someone Licked It
Yeah, that’s pretty much the whole story. An entire Orange Line subway train at the Tufts Medical Center stop was pulled from service out of an abundance of caution, because somebody decided to lick it on Friday morning.
“Out of an abundance of caution, a southbound train was taken out of service after a passenger reported the alleged incident to a Transit Ambassador at Tufts Medical Center Station,” T spokesman Joe Pesaturo told the Boston Herald.
Pesaturo didn’t say where on the train the licking occurred.
The MBTA has instituted additional measures in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, including sanitizing their stations and vehicles with increased frequency, and requiring riders to board from the rear of busses and trolleys.
