Remembering the Best French Fry in New England. Gone, But Never Forgotten!
Best French Fry in New England?
It’s National French Fry Day (click HERE for deals), and while we’d like to celebrate by horking down a basket of spuds from, say, Five Guys or McDonalds, this day calls for a day a remembrance. A day of mourning.
A day of French Fry memories that might bring a tear to your eye.
Remembering the Best French Fry in New England. Gone, But Never Forgotten!
I’m talking about the gone-forever crinkle-cut wonder from the Town Spa Pizza restaurant in Stoughton, Massachusetts.
RIP. It really was the best French fry in New England.
For decades, these crinkle-cut wonders ruled the fry game, leaving patrons in a state of fry-induced ecstasy. The crispy texture and perfect cut made hearts flutter and mouths water.
It was fry perfection, my friends!
Picture this: people from far and wide flocking to the Town Spa Pizza, their eyes gleaming with fry anticipation. They would order their beloved crinkle-cut fry and eagerly wait, hands trembling, for that golden basket of delight to arrive.
And when it did, oh boy! The fry lovers couldn’t contain their excitement. They would snatch a fry, dip it into a pool of honey mustard, and take that first, mind-blowing bite. Mmm, the taste, the crunch, the tang of the mustard—it was a flavor explosion that brought tears of joy to even the toughest fry critics.
But alas, all good things must come to an end.
In 2017, disaster struck. The fry met its demise, leaving panic and sadness in its wake. Patrons were left flabbergasted, their fry cravings left unfulfilled.
Their longtime vendor, Lamb Weston, just stopped making the product.
It was a frypocalypse, people!
The void left by the loss of these legendary fries was palpable. The people mourned, their fry-loving souls yearning for that crinkle-cut perfection. They scoured the land, desperately seeking a replacement, but none could compare.
So, let us raise a fry-shaped flag in honor of the crinkle-cut wonder from the Town Spa Pizza.
It delighted us for decades, brought smiles and fry-induced comas. Though gone, it will forever hold a special place in our fry-loving hearts. So long, you heart-attack special, and thanks for all the honey mustard memories!
