Robert Kraft Is “Praying” Tom Brady Will Be Back With The Pats
Let’s hope it doesn’t come down to just prayers…
Let’s hope it doesn’t come down to hope. Let’s do what we can to secure that 6 time Superbowl Champion, and one of the greatest players in the history of the game, Tom Brady will be back to finish his career, where it started… here at home in New England. After all, it appears that the Patriots have no back up plan. And it’s likely to take much more than prayers to get #12 to stay. It’s likely that Brady wants to be shown the love. Or as in the immortal words of Rod Tidwell (played by Cuba Gooding Jr in the film Jerry Maguire), it’s likely Brady is thinking, “show me the money!”
Before the Pats wild card loss to the Titans on Saturday, owner Robert Kraft told NBC Sports’ Peter King, “My hope and prayer is No. 1, he [Brady] play for the Patriots. Or No. 2, he retires. He went on to say, “I’m thinking of all that, of all the quarterbacks who went elsewhere, and I just hope and believe that Tom … he is so special that he’s earned the right to do what’s best for him. … But I just hope and pray we fit into his plans.”
I guess the ball is in Kraft’s court now.
I don’t know, and I don’t think @TomBrady knows, what his future holds. But it will include football, somewhere.
