Problem: Thomas Rhett’s Wife Lauren Is Almost As Popular As He Is
Thomas Rhett‘s wife Lauren is getting as much attention as he is these days.
For starters, she’s all over social media showing off the couple’s adorable adopted daughter Willa Gray. She and Thomas are also expecting a biological daughter later this summer, a reality that’s generating its own attention. Add to that Lauren’s starring role in Thomas’ music videos, and it’s easy to argue that she’s becoming a star in her own right. Funny thing is, she’s apparently not all that into it.
Lauren has made appearances in the music videos for “Die A Happy Man,” “Vacation,” “Star of the Show” and “Craving You,” which Thomas says has kind of set up a bit of an expectation among his fans.
“I kind of put myself in a hole the first time I put Lauren in a video because I feel like my fans are now like, ‘Well why is she not going to be in all your videos?'” he says through his record label. “And I’m like, ‘Cause she does not want to be.’ She hates being the center of attention. And so like any time I bring her on stage or I like say her name at a concert she gets really shy and she’s like, ‘Oh God, here we go.’ But she really is such an amazing person, an amazing trooper when it comes to doing these videos.”
Lauren’s presence seems to be paying off, too. The video for “Star of the Show,” for example, is nominated for two awards at this week’s 2017 CMT Music Awards. No wonder Lauren has more than one million Instagram followers of her own! See her camera work below.
