Florida Georgia Line’s Publishing Business Takes Off
Florida Georgia Line are into a little bit of everything. The guys make great music and put on incredible live shows, of course, but they also have their own line of whiskey, their own Nashville bar and restaurant, and their own publishing company.
The latter of those businesses – Tree Vibez Music – launched in 2015 after the duo met producer, mixer and songwriter Jordan Schmidt. “We met [him] and believed in him a ton and knew [he had] a lot of talent,” FGL’s Tyler Hubbard says through the duo’s record label. “And we just started creating music with him and one thing led to the next and now we’re here celebrating Tree Vibez’s first No. 1 and our dreams are coming true.”
Big thanks to all the songwriters, publishers, & fans for coming out to the Triple #1 party today @wildhorseTN. This feeling never gets old! pic.twitter.com/K1B72CSDkK

That first No. 1 is Jason Aldean’s “Lights Come On,” which Jordan wrote with Jimmy Robbins, Jordan Schmidt, Brad and Brett Warren, and Tyler and Brian Kelley of FGL. The guys recently gathered in Nashville to celebrate that song’s success and two other recent No. 1s for Jason (above).
As for what’s next for FGL’s publishing company, “We’re just excited to have another platform to be able to create opportunities for younger writers and artists, especially writers though that we believe in and that are here to write hits,” Tyler says.
