Rascal Flatts’ New “Mature” Love Song
As artists grow, so does their music. Just ask Rascal Flatts, whose current single “Back To Us” is one of the trio’s most “mature” love songs, according to Jay DeMarcus.
Why? Jay explains, “When we listen to songs, we may love a song, but we can’t sing about being single in a club anymore and watching a girl walk in the room.”

The guys have grown up, in other words. “I mean, we’re all in different places in our lives, so we’re trying to sing about where we are as fathers and husbands and the life that we’ve lived and the lessons we’ve learned,” he continues. “So I think it would be disingenuous for us to sing about being 25 years old.”
