FGL’s Brian Kelley Shows Off His Directing Chops
It’s one thing to record and perform a song, it’s another to help create its music video. Florida Georgia Line‘s Brian Kelley got to do just that with their latest single, however, and he had a lot of fun in the process.
The video for “Smooth” centers on a road trip to Las Vegas, complete with an Elvis impersonator. Much of it was the brainchild of BK, who shares directing credits on the project. “It was amazing,” Brian says through FGL’s record label. “It was probably one of the coolest experiences, kind of writing the treatment myself and then watching it come to life with an amazing team from the art department, to TK McKamy, our other director, to Craig Wiseman and K.K. Wiseman.”

It a village, of course, something BK readily admits. “Obviously it wasn’t just me it was a great team and the day came together amazing,” he continues. “The weather worked out perfect for us and it was a very humbling experience. You have a vision and to see it come to fruition and come to life. It’s cool, it was a different creative outlet for me and I’m thankful Tyler and the guys let me do it.”
