Luke Combs is handing out big money.
The “When It Rains It Pours” singer recently joined the CMA Foundation in Houston, TX to present a check for $1 million to the Houston Independent School District for music education support. The donation came in partnership with Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation and Music Rising.

The cause is close to Luke’s heart given his own music education. “From elementary school all the way through college, I was involved in music programs and chorus through my schools and that has impacted so much of my life and career,” he says through his publicist. “I’m grateful the CMA Foundation asked me to be a part of [this event]. Giving these students the opportunity to discover and learn about music is a really cool [and] incredible [thing] to be a part of.”
