Florida Georgia Line: Writing On The Road Rocks
The road is good for a lot of things. There’s the concerts, of course, not to mention fans, partying and all kinds of new adventures. There’s also songwriting, and Florida Georgia Line have gotten some pretty impressive mileage out of it.
As their new single “Meant To Be” with pop star Bebe Rexha climbs the charts, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard are busy putting their fourth studio album together. And lots of its songs came to the duo on the road. “[On] the last record we wrote ‘Sun Daze’ on the road [and] wrote ‘How We Roll’ on the road,” Tyler says through their record label. “And off the new record, I’m pretty sure a couple of those were written on the road. But I can guarantee you [that] a lot of the fourth record will be written on the road.”
“Meant To Be” With Bebe Rexha
The road is just a good place to write, they say, and the guys made a point this time out to make time for songwriting. “It just kind of started this year, really trying to step that up and make sure that we’re always able to conveniently stay creative on the road and have guys out that can take that to the next level.”
“Meant to Be” is found on Bebe Rexha’s EP All Your Fault: Pt. 2. FGL’s fourth album is expected at some point in 2018.
