A Few Of Brett Young’s Favorite Things
Christmas trees, movies and lights – all are signs of the coming holiday. Everyone has their favorite, though, as is the case with “Sleep Without You” singer Brett Young.
Brett has more than one favorite Christmas symbol, actually. “The first thing is that the day after Thanksgiving all the Christmas decorations, including the tree, go up at my parents’ house and in my apartment,” he says through his record label. “There’s a movie, A Christmas Story, and that’s been my family’s thing … TBS does the marathon every year and we watch it until they stop playing it. And then a new one snuck in [over] the last couple of years that I’m obsessed with, [and I watch year-round pretty much. And that’s Elf … I don’t need to wait for December for [either of those movies].”

Deserts play a big part in Brett’s Christmas experience, too. “Anything kind of like ‘nutmegy,'” he adds. “I’m not a big baker, but like every once in a while. I’ll be, ‘All right I’ve got to make some sort of holiday dessert to make the house smell like that.’ So I usually get myself into trouble.”
Brett is recording Christmas songs, too. He recently released his cover of “O Holy Night,” which can be found here. Keep up with his touring schedule here.
