The Celtics Alter Travel Plans To Attend The Kobe Bryant Memorial
A few hours ago, we learned that the Celtics are now going to wait until later today to travel to their game in Portland, in order that any team members wishing to attend Kobe Bryant’s Memorial at the Staples Center in LA can do so.
According to CBS news, the team pushed the flight back a few hours, this morning, in order to allow the opportunity to attend the NBA legend’s ceremony. The tribute began at 1:00 EST today.
The Celtics play the Trail Blazers in Portland tomorrow night at 10:00 pm EST.
The C’s were in LA yesterday playing the Lakers, and fell to Kobe’s long-time team 114-112 in an exciting game. Celtics legend Bill Russell was at Sunday’s game, and honored Kobe Bryant by wearing his No. 24 Lakers jersey on the sideline.
