Dierks Bentley’s Kids Learned This From A Superstar
Luke Bryan has become the go-to guy in country music to help teach other country star’s kids how to fish, especially since he has his own lake on his property just outside of Nashville.
We’ve seen pictures of him with Thomas Rhett’s kids and Dierks Bentley’s kids, so when we talked to Dierks, we wondered what he could maybe teach Luke or his kids in return.
Dierks told us, “I can fish a little bit too. When we got out there, he started kinda showing me up in front of my kids, and I had to get out there pretty quick and reel one in. But he talked to me a lot about aviation, you know, how that helps my family and getting back and forth.
He added joking, “And I could probably show Luke how to put on a proper country show. I could show his boys how to do that, cause Luke can’t do that (big laugh).”

Bryan has had a long career in country music, and he continues his amazing success not only on the radio charts but also every weekend while he tours the country, playing his more than 30 number-one songs for fans each night.
When we chatted with Luke recently, he told us about the core people that have been with him from the beginning of his amazing career, which has included winning the Entertainer of the Year multiple times.
Bryan told us, “I have never done an all-out housing cleaning and like a purge. I’ve kept a core group of people that I really trust.”
Luke has done the same thing when it comes to songwriters. He said, “The biggest thing is sticking with some core songwriters that get you and it’s not work.” He looks to new songwriters as well, “But also the fact that I don’t write six songs a week, and I’m sitting around waiting for songs to land in my inbox because I love the fact that there is new, young, fresh talent out there beating the streets and working hard every day.”
Bryan also told us about his latest hit song, “‘Love You, Miss You, Mean It,’ is obviously about kids falling in love and that was their saying to let each other know that they loved one another. It’s about young love. It’s about going off to college and trying to make that work, and it is not working, so it’s going full circle.”
