Miranda Lambert Expands Muttnation To Include Horses
Miranda Lambert is adding another animal to Muttnation Foundation‘s mission. As Miranda tells People magazine, aside from dogs and cats, now Muttnation will be responsible for saving horses.
Miranda shared, “I love people that are as fanatical about rescue as I am, and rescuing horses is such a different animal. I mean, honestly, pardon the pun, but it’s such a big deal because these are huge animals who have been through so much trauma. And so it takes so much patience on either side and so much trust on either side. And I think that it’s just not an easy feat.”
They recently launched the annual Idyllwind Grant, named after Miranda’s first horse, through MuttNation. The foundation awarded the first grant to Lucky Break Rescue — a woman-owned and operated nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing at-risk equines — for its continued efforts to save horses.
The animal rescue passion is something she shares with her mom, Beverly. Lambert said that it is “cool to be able to share passion with your mom.” She added that her mom has been “my biggest fan and biggest supporter.” Miranda says that MuttNation is something “that brings us together on a human level.” The country superstar noted, “It’s out of the glamour, out of the glitz.” Adding that it’s just about a passion of “doing good for the world and saving animals.”
The singer-songwriter adds that she’s “just a huge fan of anyone that’s rescuing animals.”

Lambert recently released a humorous new lyric video for the fan-favorite track “Armadillo.”
The video was created by artist Ceci Mulia, who expands on her knack for vivid storytelling with a playful twist.
Miranda previously collaborated with Mulia on the popular lyric video for another Postcards from Texas track, “Alimony,” released earlier this summer. Together, Mulia and Lambert have created a visual storyline that cleverly bridges the themes of both “Alimony” and “Armadillo.” The two songs are united by Mulia’s imaginative style and ability to blend humor, surrealism, and a distinct visual flair, capturing the essence of Lambert’s Texas-rooted tales, bringing the tracks’ characters and plots to life in a way that’s as witty as the music itself.
