Banana Boat Sunscreen Recall – Check For This
The Food and Drug Administration has issued a recall on a Banana Boat sunscreen that they are deeming unsafe due to a cancer-causing carcinogen.
Traces of benzene have been found in “Banana Boat Hair and Scalp Spray SPF 30.”
Edgewell Personal Care Company, the parent company of Banana Boat, has issued a statement saying “While benzene is not an ingredient in any Banana Boat products, the review showed that unexpected levels of benzene came from the propellant that sprays the product out of the can.” The company is offering full refunds to everyone who purchased the tainted sunscreen.
