Maren Morris is debating whether or not to attend the upcoming CMA Awards after an online clash with Brittany and Jason Aldean over remarks by Brittany that Maren condemned as ‘transphobic.’

Morris told the LA Times this week that she is very honored by her CMA nomination for Album of the Year for “Humble Quest” but that she doesn’t feel “at home” at the award’s ceremony. “Maybe I’ll make a game-time decision and go. But as of right now, I don’t feel comfortable going.”

The CMA Awards air November 9th at 8pm on ABC.

5 Superstars That Were Left Out Of 2022 CMA Male Vocalist Nominations

When the 2022 CMA nominations came out a few weeks back, there was a bit of disappointment for many country music fans as so many artists were left out of essential categories, like the Male Vocalist category for 2022 is missing several key nominees. We know there can only be five nominees in each category. Still, it’s hard to believe that these five country superstars were not nominated for 2022 Male Vocalist of the Year after their significant success.

  • Blake Shelton - Won CMA Male Vocalist five times in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014

    Blake Shelton

Not just one of country music’s biggest stars, but one of the biggest stars in the world with his role for another Season of NBC’s “The Voice.” He still sings great and should still be in the top five for the honor.

  • Keith Urban - Won CMA Male Vocalist three times in 2004, 2005, and 2006

    Keith Urban

Keith has managed to release hit after hit and still remains at the top of his class since he first won the honor in 2004. I know I am a bit biased as I have loved Urban from day one, but come on, he is still a fantastic male vocalist.

  • Tim McGraw - Won CMA Male Vocalist two times in 1999 and 2000

    Tim McGraw

It’s hard to believe that Tim has only won this trophy two times in his career. He, like Keith Urban, has kept his game-high and hasn’t missed a beat since first winning the award in 1999 in the height of Tim and Faith mania. His songs still chart, and his vocals still ring out.

  • Luke Bryan - Never Won CMA Male Vocalist

    Luke Bryan

Yeah, Luke has been nominated before but has never ever taken home one Male Vocalist award in his vast career. Bryan’s vocals are always right on point in his many hit songs, and he should at least get one win in the category.

  • Thomas Rhett - Never Won CMA Male Vocalist

    Thomas Rhett

He’s been nominated a handful of times, but no wins here. Luckily, Thomas is still so young and has many more years to get nominated for the honor and maybe score a win.
