Massachusetts Lottery Releasing New $50 Scratch Ticket – “Lifetime Millions”
Would you drop $50 for a scratchie? Massachusetts Lottery is releasing a new $50 scratch lottery ticket called “Lifetime Millions” with dreams booming loudly. You could win the top prize of one million dollars per year… for the rest of your life. Woah.
But the question is: is $50 too much to comfortably drop on a scratch ticket and a dream? To me? Yes, outside of Christmas and birthdays and other suitable special occasions. I’ve never had a great amount of luck with scratchies so I’ll be a spectator on this one. However, I have talked with many people who have tales of multiple big wins from scratch tickets. The kinds of dollar amounts that get my jealousy nerve tingling. I’m always curious what their lifetime dollars out versus in would look like when it comes to scratch tickets. If I could drop $50 to make $100 every time, I’d be in all day. However judging by my dismal lottery past, I know that’s a joyous little pipe dream.
“Lifetime Millions” is not Massachusetts Lottery’s first $50 scratch ticket but there haven’t been too many, “Billion Dollar Extravaganza” is the only other I could come across via a quick Google search. There’s probably more out there hanging out with Bigfoot and the aliens but they remain hidden from me.
So why should you buy the new $50 scratch ticket which will be introduced this February? All winning tickets will be worth $100 or more – ka-ching! The Lottery says the new ticket offers the best odds of winning $10,000 on a $50 ticket.
And we’re gonna need that big payout in Massachusetts because… it’s expensive here!! Renting a home in Mass is bonkers, see below. Maybe I will dream big and buy a sheet of those $50 scratchies after all! Uggggg.
