Gabby Barrett Gets The Call! She’s #1 And Screaming!
We knew it was coming. The song, that voice, the passion behind “I Hope” had to do it. It had #1 hit written all over it.
If you were lucky enough to see Gabby Barrett perform this song live at our Country 1025 Acoustic Live Show back on March 4 before the current coronavirus pandemic had us housebound, you would have seen it. A superstar in the making. Gabby got a standing ovation that night, not only from the audience, but from the other artists on stage, who were performing that night!
“I Hope” went #1 on the Country 1025 Top 25 Countdown this past Saturday and now… it’s #1 in the country! And the first #1 debut single by a female artist to do so since 2017 and Carly Pearce’s “Every Little Thing.”
Here’s Gabby getting the call while in her car.
Carly Pearce posted her pride for Gabby, and support for women in country music.
Y’all! I am so so so proud & excited for @GabbyBarrett_ who has the #1 SONG IN THE COUNTRY! This is the first time a debut single from a female has rang the bell since I did in 2017. LETS GO GIRLS! 🎉🥳♥️ #IHope

And to think it was only 2 years ago… Gabby had auditioned for American Idol. Even as raw as she was then, the judges had predicted big things for this young artist!
