Remember the Double-Down sandwich at KFC? When it was originally released in 2010 the response was pretty much jaws hitting the floor. But the sandwich became beloved to some and the sandwich has become a bit of a beloved guilty pleasure cult hero amongst that group. And now… KFC is bringing it back!
The sandwich comes with two pieces of cheese, hickory-smoked bacon, and either mayo or spicy sauce all packed inside two fried chicken filets. 10 million were sold in the first month when it was released in 2010.
The Double Down will be available nationwide at KFC beginning March 6th. The sandwich is 950 calories in case you were wondering. Generally, the recommended daily calorie intake is 2,000 calories a day for women and 2,500 for men.
