Jennifer Coolidge Named One Of Time’s Most Influential People And The Norwell Star “Likes It”
My fellow Emerson College alumna is suddenly Hollywood’s “it girl.” At 61 years old the actress is finally getting the roles and recognition she dreamed of. Add another accolade to the list. Jennifer Coolidge was named one of Time’s Most Influential People, and the Norwell star “likes it.” That’s what she told the publication when interviewed about the honor of being included in the names of 100 most influential people of 2023. They even made her their cover girl.

HBO’s The White Lotus brought the Norwell, Massachusetts native all the fame and fortune. Long before this, Coolidge had quite a collection of smaller roles in big movies, like Legally Blonde, American Pie, and Best in Show. But she always shined brightly in each performance, and gave each character mulitple layers that kept us wanting more.
Of her new cool-kid-in-town status, Jennifer told Time, “I just find it baffling, absolutely baffling, that this is happening. But guess what? I really like it. It’s like I was like Sleeping Beauty, where I was locked in a box under the bed or something. And now I’m out and it’s like, ‘Well, I’m sure glad they let me out of that box, because this is way better.'”
Frankly, life with Jennifer Coolidge in it is way better. Can’t wait to see what she does next.
