Here’s How Much Massachusetts Spent On Day 1 of Amazon Prime Day 2023
Amazon Prime Day has grown to become Amazon Prime Day(s). Two days filled with a seemingly endless flow of miraculous bargains. At least perceptually they are. In actuality we all know there’s a lot of good deals, bad deals, and lots in between.
Prime members in the U.S. purchased more than 60,000 items per minute during the 2022 event last year – more than 300 million items worldwide. Shoppers saved over $1.7 billion, more than any previous Prime Day event. Last year’s best-sellers were in the categories of Consumer Electronics, Household Essentials, and Home.
As for this year, the numbers are in for Amazon Prime Day 2023 Day 1. Massachusetts shoppers added to the $6.4 billion that were spent on the first day of Amazon Prime Day(s) 2023 in the US, according to Adobe Analytics Data. The number represents the single biggest e-commerce day so far in 2023. The average spent per Prime Day order for Day 1 was $56.64, up from $53.14 last year for the first day.
Amazon had two Prime Day sales last year, the first one taking place July 12th and 13th and the second one October 11th and 12th. Amazon hasn’t announced whether it plans to hold two Prime Day events this year as well.
