All Aboard, Muggles! AMTRAK To Run “Harry Potter Trains” Between Boston & DC This Summer
All aboard the Boston Harry Potter Train! This summer Amtrak is using transfiguration to transform some of their trains into Harry Potter-themed trains. These 4 magical trains won’t stop at 9 3/4, but they will have a few tricks up their… uhh… sleeves? (These are magical trains so who knows, maybe they do have arms? No they don’t.)
So why the collaboration? Amtrak officially became the partner for New York City’s Broadway show “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” playing this summer so why not? You can actually take the train from Boston right to the gates of the Lyric Theater in Times Square where you can see Harry on Broadway! The Amtrak trains will travel the classic Northeast Regional route from Washington D.C. to Boston.
Want to see the Harry Potter-wrapped train in action? See if you can make out the characters as the train whizzes by in the following video:
Now… one state must be using Harry-Potter-style-magic-tricks to make themselves smarter than us. Expelliarmus! (I have no idea if that’s a proper place for that, not gonna lie.)
