This Massachusetts Town Was Just Named Most Expensive in the US
In this time of inflation and cutting back, one of our own towns was just named most expensive in the country. I don’t know if you’ve been to San Fransisco lately but things seem so expensive there that I have the cold sweats just thinking about it. And we have our own San Fransisco even more San Fransisco than San Fransisco itself?!? Kind of.
LendingTree analyzed U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey data to find the 50 US towns with populations between 10,000 and 50,000 that had the most expensive median home values. And whoop-dee-doo a Massachusetts town finished up top! So we’re looking at towns here, not cities, therefore technically we’re not more San Fran than San Fran, I guess we’re just smaller scale San Fran. lol
Hailey, Indiana is the fifth most expensive town in America, Steamboat Springs, Colorado sounds really cute and comes in at number 4. The third most expensive town is another Colorado town as Breckinridge, Colorado is third. The runner up is Jackson, Wyoming. And the #1 most expensive town in America is Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts! The average home value in Vineyard Haven is $857,600. San Francisco’s average value is $933,300. Pretty comparable!
