Before a recent appearance at the famed, Grand Ole Opry, Keith Urban invited Chris Janson to jam on the bus with him, working out harmonies…and ALL those lyrics to the 1995 country radio staple, “Sold” by John Michael Montgomery.
John Michael is the brother of Eddie, from Montgomery Gentry and the song was his second single from his self-titled debut album. It went #1 in the summer of ’95. Keith posted the video of their throwback jam on his Instagram. Watch Chris’s mean harmonic skills, and Uban’s pure joy in the collaboration.
Seriously, I’m out of breath just trying to follow along with all those lyrics in a 2:00 song! The bus jam led to the Opry stage!
Let’s pay homage to the orginal, cira 1995…John Michael Montgomery!
