Here Comes Glamour Claus: Part II
The season’s holiday parties demand glamour, and we’ll accept tips for achieving it from only the best and brightest. So, naturally, we turned to a make-up artist who gussies up Oscar winners: Mary Wiles. Wiles, who splits her time between her native UK and U.S., has worked with the likes of Brie Larson and Kristen Wiig. She was kind enough to offer us pearls from her 20+ years of experience.
Holiday makeup trends this season include a dewy glow/ natural skin, red lip and simple clean eye
To achieve dewy skin:
- Minimal coverage
- Mix a B.B. cream with a little light reflective cream to achieve glow
Rosy cheek:
- Apply a highlighter to cheekbones and temple
- INIKA Lip and Cheek Cream applied to apple of cheek
Eyes:
- INIKA cream eye shadow in champagne applied to inner eye and lid in to crease.
- Mascara top and bottom lashes two applications–some individual lashes on outer corners can also be added
Brows:
- Defined and brushed up–fill in gaps with powder or pencil
Lips:
- Use a deep red color (like INIKA After Dark lipstick)
- Apply a lip pencil underneath all over lip to create a good long lasting base
