Springtime Trends: Let It Glow
As spring is the time of rebirth, we thought it an ideal opportunity to chat with an expert on fresh new looks for the season. Ami Mallon, Corporate Educator for Osmosis Colour Mineral Cosmetics, shares some trends with us.
Glowing Skin:
Glowy skin is always in, but this year in particular it is making a comeback! This type of look can be challenging particularly in the dry winter months. The key to a great glowing skin look is light layers of product. Heavy layers of foundation will look cakey on the skin but layering a light moisturizer, illuminating primer and then a light layer of base will create a gorgeous glow that will last all night!
For oily skins this type of look can be more difficult but with the use of a great mattifying powder it is absolutely achievable. Osmosis Colour’s Finishing Powder will allow for the skin’s natural oils to create a gorgeous glow that will appear as the makeup sits on the skin without looking shiny.
Lived-in liner:
End of the night liner is one of the most surprising and exciting trends that we are seeing for 2018. It’s the return of the grunge eye! This look is edgy and effortless with a touch of glamour. The best thing about this eye look is just how easy it is to achieve – simply line the whole eye (including the waterline) smudge using either a finger or a synthetic blending brush. Want to make it easier? Add an eye gloss or balm! My go to is Osmosis Colour’s Age Defying Treatment Concealer which houses a moisture stick made of Argan, Coconut and Apricot Oils. Simply dab this hydrating balm on top of the liner to give it a glossy, edgier feel.
