Ok, we all know we need to have a few crucial beauty items on us at all times for emergency throughout-the-day touch up. What we don’t need is the added cargo. Enter Stowaway Cosmetics–we spoke with CEO Julie Fredrickson about their streamlined make up faves and more goodies for summer.
1. Tell us more about Stowaway Cosmetics.
I started Stowaway Cosmetics with a solution in mind to eliminate the burden of the bulge and provide products that fit into every woman’s on-the-go lifestyle. 2. What are some of your new colors for summer?
So exciting – we just launched new Stowaway Cosmetics Creme Lipstick shades – Burnt Rose, which is the perfect ‘your lips but better’ nude, and Apricot, a gorgeous warm pinky coral. We also launched the Color Enhancing Balm, featuring a PH adjusting formula that works with the natural chemistry of your lips to provide a custom personalized shade! It can range from a petal pink, or hot fuchsia to a beautiful lilac. I’m all about subtle colors that really enhance your natural beauty and play up your best features.
3. What are some of your favorites in the Stowaway line?
It is so hard to pick just one favorite, as my entire routine is a mix of Stowaway products (and anything we don’t make I tend to mix and match from sample boxes and gift with purchases as I refuse to carry or buy anything I can’t finish). I’d say my daily go to is our concealer, our new Multi-Sticks (on a good skin day I use them strategically to give me a no-makeup makeup look with brightening, a hint of a contour and lots of brightening Sugar for radiance) and our pH Balm. On a day where I need to be a little fancier I will bump it up with a bit more coverage with our BB Cream, our Essential Eye Palette and I switch between lipstick shades because why not? I rotate all of the colors but my favorites right now are Burnt Rose, Apricot, Muted Plum and Scarlet with a dash of Raspberry for a bolder day. And of course I’m never without an eyeliner in my purse as it gives me a fast smokey eye in a quick second when my plans change and I need to go straight from desk to dinner or event.
