Let’s Take A Moment To Reflect On The Anniversary Of Attacks
Today, we pause for a moment to remember the lives lost on 9/11 and reflect on the tragic events that unfolded 17 years ago.
Despite the destruction and devastation after our nation came under attack, 9/11 will always be remembered as the day America came together.
We mourned together, offered aid together, and hoped for a better day — Together.
On the eve of September 11, 2001, 2,977 (this number has been adjusted to remove the hijackers from the death toll) people went to sleep that night — Not knowing they would lose their lives the following morning.
Of the nearly 3,000 people who died on 9/11, 412 were first responders who rushed to the scene to rescue people.
On the anniversary of 9/11, Americans across the country stop to pay their respects to the lives lost, and to thank first responders and our troops for their continued dedication towards keeping us safe.
As America began to pick up the pieces all those years ago, and tried to make sense of this senseless terrorist attack, Alan Jackson debuted, “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning.)”
The song, still popular today, beautifully captured the emotion of the day, and the emotions we had a hard time putting into words.

May we never forget those who were lost on September 11, but also we should not forget how our nation came together, and the love, faith, and support that was evident on and after that fateful day.
