Instagram Adds New Privacy Feature
Just in time for you going out this weekend (or spending a weekend in blankets with Netflix,) Instagram has introduced a new feature for added privacy.
The feature adds an extra step of security on your Instagram story with a “close friends list.”
In other words, it allows your story to only be viewed by users you select…in case you didn’t want to Snapchat it or use your “finsta” AKA fake-instagram.
To use the new feature with your Insta-story, open the app and go to your profile page. Then swipe right, click Close Friends and select who you’d like to add to the list.
Instagram wants to make it easier to share content with your inner circle. It's announced the ability to share Stories with a smaller group of friends. The feature, called Close Friends, has begun rolling out globally. https://t.co/G6WGgXdA7h pic.twitter.com/XA5O9M5MwD

Best friend lists didn’t work well on MySpace or Snapchat, but maybe this will be different. Maybe.
