Carrie Underwood Knows CMA Awards Will Have Humor
Carrie Underwood celebrated a number one song (“Southbound”) in Nashville yesterday afternoon and talked about the upcoming CMA Awards which she will be hosting with Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton on November 13.
Carrie said, “The whole tone this year is obviously taking a look at women in country music. And I love the fact that there’s a theme happening. I hope that’s kind of something that maybe we adopt for future CMAs. But it helps that it’s just so nice to just be heartfelt and celebrate, you know, women in country music.”
She continued, “And Reba and myself all have you know, we’ll have our moments of… I don’t want to say comedy, but I feel like Dolly and Reba are both so good at those one-liners that just kill. So I can’t imagine there not being some of those in there.”
The CMA just-released promos this morning of Carrie and others talking about this year’s show. They posted a video to Instagram featuring Carrie, Dolly, Reba Garth and others asking, “What does Country Music mean in your life?”
