How to Discover Boston in Just 3 Hours
One Step In Front Of The Other…
Everyone has their favorite ‘go-to’ places in Boston, and whenever people come visit our beautiful city I always tell them this:
“Start at Quincy Market, stuff your face with as much food as you can (and don’t forget to get chocolate chip cookies from Chipyard), roll yourself over to Boston Common and walk through Frog Pond and see the Duck Boats and the State Capitol Building, cross the street to see the dirty shops in Downtown Crossing, and class it up at the end by grabbing food and a drink on Newbury Street.” Those are just MY suggestions, but there are so many more things to see!
I found this great image on Boston Walks that shows a GREAT plan for those who want to discover Boston in 3 hours. Maybe you take my suggestion above…or maybe you want more. Well in this image, you can discover Boston by water, you’ll see the oldest tavern in the Commonwealth, the Italian beauty of the North End (Mike’s Pastries and Modern), and you’ll see a lot of small streets with the original cobblestones from the 1600’s.
So I definitely encourage you to try this walking tour, even if you’ve lived in the area your whole life. And I encourage you even more to stop along the way and walk into a few spots you’ve never been to before. Our city is so rich with history!
If you want to follow the walk verbatim follow this guide, it will help you.
