Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw – Top Five Songs About ‘Mama’
Country music is known for songs about trucks, heartbreaks, dogs and of course mama. So with Mother’s Day on Sunday (5/10), we give you our list of what we think are country music’s top five songs about our beloved moms. Tim McGraw’s brand new “I Called Mama” made number two on our list.

Garth Brooks named his record label Pearl Records for his mom. She had a recording contract with Capitol Records in the 1950’s under the name Colleen Carroll.

In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s.
