REWIND: Thomas Rhett Superstar Mini Concert
Thomas Rhett’s Superstar Mini Concert was ‘unforgettable’ and made us wanna dance! He performed Be A Light, Beer Can’t Fix, and Sixteen.
“It’s really nice to be able to play music again. Even though we can’t see you face to face, we still get to play music and sing songs and hopefully bring a little bit of light to your day.”
With three small kids at home, it’s been a bit chaotic, but Thomas and his wife have been getting creative. “We’ve been cooking a lot. I’ve been getting my fingernails painted by my kids, and putting frozen crowns on my head and watching a bunch of Disney+.”
Earlier this year, Thomas released Be A Light featuring Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, Chris Tomlin, and Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum. “We just felt like the world kind of needed a little bit of encouragement and my way to express that is through music.”
Beer Can’t Fix features Thomas’ friend Jon Pardi, “Me and John just shot a music video for it right before quarantine happened, and right about now I’m wishing that I was still in Key West.”
Sixteen is one of Thomas’ favorite songs he’s released in a while and is about his life. “When you’re 16, you wanna be 18. When you’re 18, you want to be 21. And by the time you’re my age at 30, you kind of wish you were 16 again, or at least you wish your knees were 16.”
