Kelsea Ballerini Criticizes Chase Rice For Playing A ‘Normal’ Concert
Last night, Chase Rice returned to the road when he played a concert in Petros, Tennessee at a venue called the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary (a former penitentiary that is now a venue where concerts are held). Local news outlet WKRN reported that the venue normally holds 10,000 people but were limiting the show to 4,000.
But video of the performance began circulating online, with gossip site TMZ sharing video that showed no social distancing and few people wearing masks at the show.
Rice himself shared video of the show in his Instagram stories, and that video was reshared by other social media accounts.

Kelsea Ballerini tweeted about the video, saying, “Imagine being selfish enough to put thousands of people’s health at risk, not to mention the potential ripple effect, and play a normal country concert right now. @ChaseRiceMusic, We all want (and need) to tour. We just care about our fans and their families enough to wait.”
