Meet LIV, originally from Westwood, now living in Nashville
Spirit, edge, sass, pride.
It all sounds so…Boston. And it is.
LIV’s music is exactly that, but much more. This Westwood girl’s spirit had her crooning as soon as she could speak. Her edge comes from the rock influences of her youth. There was a potent cocktail of Heart, Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles. The sass came when she discovered Carrie Underwood on America Idol, and heard Martina McBride flex her vocal prowess and loudly declare a day of reckoning in “Independence Day.” And the pride is pure Boston. This avid Boston sports fan is proud of where she came from, where she is. and where she is going.
Boston was left behind in pursuit of dreams. LIV moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University. She graduated with a degree in songwriting. While in school, an internship gave LIV experience on the business side, working in publishing with Rascal Flatts and Brothers Osborne.
LIV has been busy writing, recording and performing since graduating college. She put out an EP, Something Wild in 2017 and her single “Superman” has been heard on stations across the country. No doubt, this “supergirl” is ready to fly.

- What lead you to music: I’ve been singing since I could talk. My parents really encouraged pursuing my musical abilities growing up and I was in all the musicals and choirs I could join. Watching Carrie Underwood on American Idol is what led me to country music. I voted for her every night!
- How old when you started: 5
- First country song you learned: “Independence Day” by Martina McBride
- Instruments played: Piano, guitar
- How would you describe your sound: My friends have described me as Carrie Underwood mixed with P!nk. My music is country/rock/pop but I love writing all genres. I’ve written pop, rap, country, I just love writing lyrics and creating new sounds. I really like to write and release music with a powerful message that people can listen to and feel inspired.
- Who inspires you: Carrie Underwood, Carly Pearce, Carole King, P!nk, Melissa Etheridge. I’m inspired by a lot of women artists/songwriters.
- Dream duet partner: Carrie, Rascal Flatts
- All- time favorite country songs: So Small by Carrie Underwood, My Church by Maren Morris, Every Little Thing by Carly Pearce, My Wish by Rascal Flatts, Colder Weather by Zac Brown Band, Beer In Mexico by Kenny Chesney, the list goes on!
- First country concert: Country Fest with Kenny Chesney in 2008 at Gillette Stadium
- What songs do you like now on Country 1025: The Bones by Maren Morris, Next Girl by Carly Pearce, Bluebird by Miranda Lambert
- If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing: Building a fitness empire or working with dogs
- Day Job: Personal Trainer
- Most proud moment: Messages I’ve received from fans (specifically girls) saying that my music has empowered them. Also, singing bedside for hospital patients through Musicians On Call. Oh, and the first time I played the Bluebird Café in Nashville!
- Crazy thing that happened in your music career: I worked for Rascal Flatts for a few years and one time they walked into the office I was working in and heard my first single being played on some speakers and talked about how much they loved it, and Gary started singing along to it (CRAZY!)
- Other things you like to do: Working out, watching sports, and playing video games.
- Fun facts: I have a guinea pig named Potato, I once stood next to Nicole Kidman at a #1 party for Keith Urban and silently fangirled the whole time, I was a professional actor in high school, which included being in 2 movies: “Grown Ups” with Adam Sandler and “Surrogates” with Bruce Willis (and I’m also currently in a video at the Commonwealth Museum in Boston in a Bill Of Rights exhibit!)
