Tom Holland Deepfaked Into Original Spider-Man Movies
Posted by YouTube user, Shamook, we can now imagine what Tom Holland would have looked like replacing Tobey Maguire in the original Spider-Man movies.
Holland’s face is animated over Maguire’s in the various Spider-Man movie clips in the “Deepfake” video.
The clip starts with a scene where Peter Parker is hoping for a job with the Daily Bugle as a photographer, dealing with the antics of editor J. Jonah Jameson, played by J.K. Simmons.
At one point, all three Spider-Man actors get the deepfake treatment, adding Andrew Garfield into the mix.
Deepfakes is described as synthetic media in which a person in an existing image or video is replaced with someone else’s likeness, using powerful AI techniques. The YouTube video was created using DeepFaceLabs.
Shamook posted in the comments under the video, “Yes, I will be deepfaking Tobey Maguire into Tom Holland’s Spider-man movies.”
Spider-Man: No Way Home is set for release this December. Plot details for the third and final installment are still being kept under wraps, but rumors suggest it will dive into the multiverse.
