Your April 2021 Streaming Guide
With all the different streaming services these days, there is always something new to watch AND there’s something for everyone! Here are some television shows and movies from various streaming services that you should check out this April.
NETFLIX
Dad Stop Embarrassing Me: Season 1
Jamie Foxx stars in this Netflix original, coming to the streaming service April 14. Foxx plays Bachelor Brian Dixon, who unexpectedly becomes a full-time father to his teenage daughter, Sasha.

Thunder Force
Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer work together in this action-comedy, co-starring Jason Bateman and Bobby Cannavale. Coming to Netflix April 9th, two childhood best friends reunite as an unlikely crime-fighting superhero duo when one invents a formula that gives ordinary people superpowers.
Concrete Cowboy
Coming April 2nd, Idris Elba and Caleb McLaughlin (“Stranger Things”) star in this coming-of-age drama based on the novel “Ghetto Cowboy.” A rebellious teen is sent to live with his estranged father for the summer and finds kinship in a tight-knit Philadelphia community of Black cowboys.
Worn Stories: Season 1
In this limited docuseries coming April 1, real people share funny and interesting stories involving their most meaningful pieces of clothing.

Shadow & Bone: Season 1
This teen tv show comes to the streaming service on April 23. Dark forces plot against a young soldier after she unleashes a magical power that could change the fate of her world.
HULU
The Handmaid’s Tale: Season 4
Fans of The Handmaid’s Tale have long-awaited Season 4, which is finally premiering on Hulu on April 28th. Starring Elisabeth Moss, this show follows a woman who has been forced into sexual servitude and struggles to survive in a totalitarian society.
Songbird
A COVID-themed movie is here… and it’s coming to Hulu on April 16th. This new sci-fi thriller, starring KJ Apa and Sofia Carson, is set in the year 2024 and follows a new strain of coronavirus, COVID-23.
Wild Mountain Thyme
Wild Mountain Thyme is coming to Hulu on April 25th. This is a romance/drama movie that came out in 2020 and follows two star-crossed lovers who get caught up in family drama.
Sasquatch
Sasquatch is a true crime docuseries that follows an investigative journalist as he returns to a twenty-five year old case that was said to be the works of a mythical creature. It drops on the streaming service on April 20th.
DISNEY+
Big Shot: Season 1
This Disney+ original, debuting April 16 and starring John Stamos, is about a stoic college basketball coach who gets fired from his job and must take a job at an elite all-girls private high school.
Secrets of the Whales
This new, original four-part series from National Geographic drops on Disney+ on Earth Day, April 22nd. It dives deep in to the world of whales, seeing how they communicate, live, and love from their perspective.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: Season 1
The first episode for this new series premiered in March, with weekly episodes being released through April. The show follows The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, a pair who came together in the final moments of “Avengers: Endgame,” as they team up on a new adventure.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers: Season 1
The Might Ducks: Game Changers is a reboot of a classic and will be set 25 years after the original. It tells a new story of youth sports in today’s society, following a group of a misfits hockey team. The first episode premieres on March 26th with new episodes weekly into April.
