Massachusetts Takes Top Title As The Happiest State In The US
Most of us seek happiness in our lives. With a pinch of positive relationships, a dash of fulfilling work, a sprinkle of gratitude, a generous physical and mental well-being serving, a splash of personal goals, a handful of leisure and enjoyment, and a sprinkle of kindness. The experiences we encounter daily all play a significant role in shaping our happiness levels.
Scholaroo, an online scholarship discovery platform, identified the happiest states in the U.S. They compared all 50 states across seven key categories. They include personal finance, leisure activities, and mental and physical health. They also looked at employment, personal relationships, and social policies. They then evaluated those categories using 54 relevant metrics, each graded on a 100-point scale.
Massachusetts was named the happiest state in the U.S.
The site gave Massachusetts the title of the happiest state in America. It ranked above states like Illinois (number 2) and Connecticut (number 3). The study also found that Massachusetts has the most LGBTQI+ youth protection rights in the U.S.
Highlights
The latest study revealed that people living in the Northeast region of the United States are the happiest in the entire country. What’s even more impressive is that every state in the Northeast made it to the top 20 list of the happiest states in America. On the other hand, the majority of southern states found themselves at the lower end of the happiness spectrum. According to the study, these states tend to have higher rates of depression, longer working hours per week, and higher obesity rates compared to other regions in the country.

Massachusetts has some great spots to live, and as it turns out, one of those areas is one of the best neighborhoods to live in America.
This is according to a new study reported by Niche. According to the publication, “The Best Places to Live ranking provides a comprehensive assessment of the overall livability of an area. This grade takes into account several key factors of a location, including the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics, and access to amenities in an attempt to measure the overall quality of an area.” The two most important factors, according to the states on Niche.com’s website, are the higher education rate and the cost of living grade.”
Niche.com adds, “The same methodology is used to produce the Overall Niche Grade for each ranked place.” They also got statistics mainly from the U.S. Census, and those stats “represent the most recent data available.” What’s nice about this study is that they used actual numbers and facts, instead of just going by reviews or a vibe.
