Old Dominion Says Crafting Their Live Show “Keeps Us On Our Toes”
On top of releasing their fifth studio album, Memory Lane, just last month, Old Dominion took home the CMA Awards win this week for Vocal Group of the Year.

To say that the band is having a very good year would be an understatement. We got to spend some time with Matthew Ramsey, Brad Tursi, Trevor Rosen, and Geoff Sprung of Old Dominion backstage before their big win.
Now that they have nine No. 1 hits, including, “Break Up With Him” and “One Man Band,” plus five albums under their belt, picking out the songs to play live for their fans each night can get a little tricky. However, Ramsey says “It keeps us on our toes a little bit too.”
Sprung added, “Yeah, I mean, I think on that particular run it was a little more freeform. But now we’ve realized that touring this year we’re on our fifth album and the catalog has gotten so large, like you’re talking about that we can’t fit all the songs people want to hear. It’s made this great opportunity on this current tour where we open it up to requests and it’s been really fun to kind of pick from the hat.”
Aside from their live show keeping them on their toes, we thought we’d do the same with a few listener questions during our interview backstage. It got personal and we even learned of a text exchange between Ramsey and Luke Bryan that involved a morning flight cocktail.
Old Dominion is currently in the midst of their 2023 No Bad Vibes Tour with special guests Tyler Hubbard, Chase Rice, Kylie Morgan, Priscilla Block, Adam Doleac, Kylie Morgan, Jameson Rodgers, Kassi Ashton, and Niko Moon on select dates.
